User Guide

1. Click the TAKE A PHOTO button. This will allow you to either load a photo or, if using a smart device, take a photo using the device camera.

   Note: To take a photo using a smart device you must ensure that your browser has permission to access your camera. This can usually be set via the privacy settings on your device.

2. Your photo will appear above, with the original image on the left, and the coverage image on the right. Move the slider until the coverage image best represents your original photo. The slider is altering the cut-off value, which controls the point at which a given pixel is converted to either black or white.

3. The percentage coverage shown in your photo is calculated and displayed.

4. To repeat the test with a new image at the same location, ideally you should use the same cut-off value, unless conditions such as sunlight or cloud cover have changed.
